The Athletics Hall in Banjica will host the Balkan Indoor Championships for seniors this Saturday, starting at 12:45 PM. Athletics fans will have the opportunity to witness top athletes from the region competing for glory.
A total of 21 member nations of Balkan Athletics will participate, with over 250 athletes expected to battle for medals. Serbia’s national team will feature 32 competitors, who will aim to deliver outstanding performances in front of the home crowd.
Slobodan Branković, President of Balkan Athletics, emphasized the significance of this competition:
“The Balkan Indoor Championships for seniors is one of the most important regional athletics events and a great opportunity for athletes to measure up against the best and test their form ahead of major upcoming competitions. Once again, Belgrade has proven to be the athletics hub of this part of Europe, and hosting such a championship reaffirms our commitment to the development of the sport and the promotion of top-level athletic performances.”
Spectators at Banjica can expect an exciting competition across all disciplines, featuring some of the biggest names in Balkan athletics. Admission is free, giving sports enthusiasts the chance to cheer for the best athletes in the region and be part of another thrilling athletics event in Belgrade.
