The Balkan Athletics Congress was held on 3rd October in Ptuj, Slovenia with the participation of 20 Balkan Athletics federations.
At the very beginning of the Congress, the president of Balkan Athletics, Slobodan Branković, addressed the attendees and welcomed everyone present. After him, the host of the event, Primož Feguš, delivered a welcoming speech on behalf of Slovenia.
The Congress continued with the adoption of the minutes from the previous session held in Sofia, as well as the Agenda of the Assembly in Ptuj. Following this, Balkan Athletics General Secretary Predrag Momirović presented the annual report and later introduced the Balkan Athletics competition calendar for 2026.
In the evening, the traditional Balkan Gala took place, where the best Balkan athletes and the rising stars of the region were officially announced and celebrated.
