BALKAN ATHLETICS CONGRESS

The Balkan Athletics Congress was held today in Istanbul, Turkey. 19 federations of Balkan athletics participated in the Congress.

At the very beginning of the Congress, the president of Balkan Athletics, Slobodan Branković, addressed the attendees and greeted everyone present.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Agenda of the Congress was adopted, after which they adopted the minutes from the previous session of the congress.

After that, General Secretary Predrag Momirović addressed the audience and briefly presented the annual report on the competitions held in the previous year. As well as the proposal for amendments and additions to the propositions for athletic competitions, which were also adopted.

Then Jovan Kantar, as a lawyer, presented the proposal for the Statute of Balkan Athletics, of which 16 federations voted for the adoption of the statute. This statute also adopted the new logo of Balkan Athletics, as well as the website.

Also, a new member of the council became the president of the Slovenian athletics federation, Primož Feguš.
